Your wedding day should be all about you. With a celebrant you have the freedom to create the day of your dreams, you choose the time, location, readings, poems, music, rituals. You can write your own vows and include whoever you want.  

Make your day as fun, quirky and as individual as you like, free from the restraints of a template or script that’s been used for hundreds of other couples. 

Celebrants are not permitted to perform a legal registration of marriage; we leave the red tape stuff to the council.  If your idea of your special day is more personal than simply being named as part of a contract, then a celebrant led wedding is for you.  My job is to create a beautiful and unique ceremony especially for you. 

Prior to your celebrant led wedding day you can complete the legal paperwork at your local registry office in a ceremony known as a 2+2.  You and your partner attend with 2 witnesses, repeat a declaration, sign your marriage certificate and 10 minutes later you’re done!

Think of this in the same way you would register a birth.  You attend the registry office to do the legal bit and then afterwards you can choose to celebrate with a christening or naming ceremony surrounded by family and friends. 

Your wedding day and your marriage is more than a contract, it’s about sharing your story and celebrating your love with those you care most about.

The options are endless, you can make your ceremony as outrageous, quirky or traditional as you’d like.   I do understand though that sometimes too much choice can be overwhelming so please don’t feel you need to be armed with ideas, I am more than happy to make suggestions and talk you through everything.   

The most important thing is that you are in control of the decisions and together we can create your perfect day.

There’s no need to worry about that, I will look after everything for you. I look forward to meeting you and hearing your story.  It’s the details that will make your ceremony personal; how you met, who proposed, what your hopes are for the future, what you love about each other, even what gets on your nerves!   This is your day and should be all about you both.   

Writing and creating your perfect ceremony is not something I take for granted, it cannot and will not be anything less than perfect.

In short, anywhere at any time.  As there is no legal paperwork to be completed, a celebrant led wedding ceremony can take place in a licensed or unlicensed venue or even on public land.   There are no regulations.   

Here is where you can really let your imagination go wild.   You could choose a beautiful country house, a park, beach, the banks of the river or on top of a hill.   There are so many options open to you with a celebrant.

Absolutely! A rehearsal can help you visualise your special day, it can also help reduce nerves. 

It is important that you are completely happy with the creation of the ceremony and a rehearsal is a great way to highlight any last-minute queries before the big day.
